A private lesson is fifty minutes dedicated entirely to your dancing: your goals, your challenges, your pace. Fifty minutes of Focused, experienced instruction on whatever aspect of swing & social dancing matters most to you right now.
Private lessons are available for individuals, partners, or small groups of up to four students. Whether you're a complete beginner looking for a head start before joining a group class, an experienced dancer working on something specific, or a couple wanting to develop your partnership, a private lesson meets you exactly where you are and takes you exactly where you want to go.

Before We Begin...
A few things worth knowing before you book:

Lesson length: Each lesson is fifty minutes of instruction, scheduled in a sixty-minute block to allow for a proper start and finish without rushing.

Online lessons: Remote instruction is available for students who prefer it. Platform details are arranged at the time of scheduling.

Floor fees: There are no floor fees for lessons scheduled at My Roots Dance Studio. If you request an alternative studio or location, a floor rental fee (typically up to $20 per lesson) may apply.

Travel fees: For lessons held at a private residence or studios other than My Roots Dance Studio, a travel fee of up to $20 per lesson may apply.

Lesson packages: Packages of three or five lessons expire six months from the date of purchase. Each lesson in a package may be scheduled individually. There's no requirement to book them consecutively.

Cancellations & rescheduling: Life happens, and rescheduling is always an option with at least four hours notice. Just reach out via text or email and we'll find another time. Cancellations made within four hours of a scheduled lesson are subject to the full lesson fee. For package students, a late cancellation forfeits that lesson from the package. No-shows require payment before the next session is scheduled. If something significant comes up, please reach out directly.
